Job Title: Academy Coach Educator
Location: Lagos

Role Overview
The Academy Coach Educator will be responsible for delivering structured education programs for academy coaches using defined syllabuses and modules.
The role emphasizes teaching, mentoring, and guiding coaches to ensure they understand and apply the Academy’s philosophy, methodology, and best practices.
This position focuses on knowledge delivery, curriculum design, and professional development for coaches rather than direct player coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well-structured training sessions, workshops, and lectures for academy coaches.
Teach and assess coaches using pre-designed syllabuses, modules, and learning materials.
Ensure that coaching staff understand and implement the Academy’s methodology consistently.
Support coaches in applying theory to practice through guided discussions and reflective learning.
Develop and update educational resources, training materials, and assessments in line with academy standards.
Monitor and evaluate coach development progress and provide constructive feedback.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the coaching staff.
Collaborate with the Technical/Academy Director to refine and enhance the Academy’s coach education programs.
Incorporate value based training (ethics, leadership, teamwork, respect) to shape coachesas role models for young players.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in football coaching, sport science, and athlete development, and integrate relevant innovations into training programs.
Introduce and experiment with digital tools, performance analysis software, and e-learning platforms to enhance coach education delivery.
Encourage innovationprojects among coaches (e.g., coach-led research, new training drills, community outreach programs.)
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, Sports Science, Coaching, Physical Education, or a related field.
Teaching or lecturing experience (in sports, education, or related subjects).
Formal Coach Education Certification (e.g., CAF/UEFA Coach Educator License, FA Tutor License, or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience in curriculum development, training delivery, or instructional design.
Strong knowledge of football development principles and coaching methodologies (practical playing/coaching background is an advantage but not essential).
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology (slides, video analysis, online learning platforms) is an added advantage.
