Job Title: Project Engineer (Vessel Hire Oil and Gas Support Marine Logistics)

Role Summary
The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects across the company’s operations in offshore support, vessel hire, dredging & construction, and ammonia fertilizer gas operations.
The role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and compliance awareness to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards.
Assist in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects in offshore support, dredging, construction, and fertilizer gas facilities.
Prepare project scopes, technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Monitor and control project progress to ensure timely completion and budget compliance.
Support project commissioning, handover, and post-project evaluation.
Technical & Operational Support:
Provide engineering input for vessel operations, dredging activities, and construction projects.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure technical compliance.
Review engineering drawings, designs, and technical documents for accuracy.
Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and risk assessments.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with Nigerian oil & gas, marine, and construction regulations.
Work closely with regulatory authorities such as NUPRC, NMDPRA, NIMASA, NIWA, NCDMB, and NPA for permits and approvals.
Implement HSE standards and best practices in all project phases.
Teamwork & Coordination:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, operations staff, and contractors.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and field staff.
Prepare progress reports and present updates to management and stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time and on-budget project delivery.
Compliance with regulatory and HSE requirements.
Quality and accuracy of engineering documentation.
Client and stakeholder satisfaction with project outcomes.
Reduction of project risks and downtime.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Marine, Chemical, or related field).
Minimum of 3–7 years’ experience in project engineering within oil & gas, marine logistics, dredging, construction, or fertilizer/petrochemical industries.
Strong knowledge of project management tools, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory frameworks (NCDMB, NUPRC, NMDPRA, NIMASA, NIWA).
Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of engineering design software and project planning tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Strong HSE awareness and risk management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in offshore and onshore environments.
