We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Guidance Counsellor

Location: Lugbe, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to support students’ emotional, social, and academic growth.
• Guide students in setting and achieving academic, personal, and career goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address student concerns and develop tailored action plans.
• Offer crisis intervention support and, when necessary, refer students to external professionals or resources.
• Design and facilitate workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, career planning, study skills, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential student records.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that prioritizes student well-being and personal development.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a B.A. Ed, B.Sc., or equivalent Degree in Guidance & Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Must have 3–10 years of professional experience in school counselling or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Relevant certifications or specialized training are an added advantage.
