Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and execute highway design projects from conception to completion
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Conduct site visits and field surveys to gather data for design work
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules
• Prepare and review plans, reports, and permit applications for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Stay current with industry developments and technology advancements
• Participate in project and client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• 5+ years of experience in highway design and construction
• Proven experience in highway design and construction
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
• Strong project management skills
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with environmental impact assessments
• Knowledge of sustainable and green engineering practices
• In-depth knowledge of highway design standards, guidelines, and regulations
• Ability to use AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other design software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
