Summary

• The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a high level of customer service, optimizing sales, managing inventory, and leading a team of employees.
• The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and a deep understanding of FMCG products and market trends.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

• Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Monitor store performance metrics and analyze data to drive sales and profitability.

Sales and Customer Service:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve store targets.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is provided by all staff members.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Inventory Management:

• Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
• Oversee product ordering and replenishment processes to optimize stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and implement loss prevention strategies.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and develop store staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Schedule staff effectively to meet operational needs and optimize labor costs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Visual Merchandising:

• Ensure the store is well-organized, visually appealing, and compliant with brand standards.
• Plan and implement promotional displays and seasonal merchandising strategies.

Financial Management:

• Manage the store budget and control expenses to maximize profitability.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including sales forecasts and expense reports.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or related field (preferred).
• 3 - 9 years proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of retail management principles and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift and move products as needed.
