The World Food Programme(WFP) Nigeria Country Office (CO), in partnership with KFW, is implementing a project aimed at creating Resilience and Social Cohesion (peace) in NE, Nigeria – Potiskum. We are currently seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join our team in the following positions
Position Overview
The Community Outsourced Workers will support field implementation, monitoring, and community engagement in Yunusari LGAs.
Key Responsibilities
Community Mobilization & Sensitization:
Mobilize and sensitize targeted project participants (men, women and, youth) across all LGAs.
Facilitate community feedback mechanisms to enhance program responsiveness
Support targeting activities in their assigned LGAs
Field Monitoring & Activity Implementation:
Monitor project activities at the field level in assigned LGAs.
Conduct regular field visits to verify activity implementation and document challenges/successes.
Provide timely weekly updates on monitored activities, including community feedback/complaints.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:
Liaise with project stakeholders (Project Management Committees, Technical Committees, traditional leaders, LGA authorities) and provide project updates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of activities in communities.
Capacity Building & Linkages
Link smallholder farmers to contracting companies and markets within and outside the state.
Support capacity-building sessions on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA).
Data Collection, Reporting & Documentation
Conduct follow-ups with project participants to track progress and challenges.
Scan/upload Means of Verification (MoVs) and maintain participant databases.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports and contribute to donor progress updates.
Communications Support
Identify and document human-interest stories from project participants monthly.
Share success stories with the Communications Expert for development.
Required Qualifications
Mandatory:
Minimum qualification: ND, NCE, or BSc in Agriculture, Social Sciences, or related fields.
Ability to travel frequently across assigned LGAs.
Indigene of the project LGAs (proof via indigene letter).
Preferred:
Computer literacy (certificate is an added advantage).
Fluency in local languages (Hausa/Kanuri).
Experience in data collection, community mobilization, M&E, or agri-development.
