Job summary

• We are seeking an experienced and innovative AI & Automation Specialist to join our security and operations teams.
• This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining AI-powered solutions to enhance our cybersecurity capabilities, streamline security operations, and automate incident response.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and CI/CD principles, with a strong understanding of security best practices.

Responsibilites

• Design and implement RAG solutions: Build robust pipelines covering document ingestion, preprocessing, embeddings, and secure query execution. Architect and maintain vector store solutions using technologies like Chroma, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
• Create and manage LLM prompts: Develop and maintain production-grade prompt templates, system prompts, and metadata strategies to ensure high-precision, relevant, and secure responses while minimizing model hallucination.
• Implement AI model governance: Establish and enforce a governance framework for model selection, balancing cost and performance. Oversee prompt and version tracking, define model evaluation metrics, conduct bias and safety checks, and manage approval gates for production deployment.
• Develop automation connectors and orchestrations: Integrate LLM agents with core security and IT platforms, including Rapid7, SecPod, Sophos, and ticketing systems (JIRA/ServiceNow), using secure APIs and vetted playbooks.
• Build MLOps pipelines: Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for prompts and models. Implement automated testing, version control for data and models, monitoring for latency, accuracy, and drift, and develop automated retraining workflows.
• Enforce data protection measures: Design and implement robust controls for PII and sensitive data. This includes data redaction, encryption, policy enforcement, and managing data residency requirements.
• Establish human-in-the-loop workflows: Create processes for human feedback collection, build annotation tooling, and implement supervised fine-tuning loops to continuously improve model performance and accuracy.
• Author operational playbooks: Develop and maintain runbooks, safety checks, and abuse controls (such as rate limiting and verification) and create incident response playbooks for potential model misuse.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Detection Engineering, Infrastructure, and Development teams to integrate model outputs into detection rules and automated remediation with appropriate role-based access control (RBAC) and approval workflows.
• Provide mentorship and guidance: Mentor junior engineers on best practices in prompt engineering, embedding techniques, and secure, production-ready AI deployment strategies.

Required skills and qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree
• 3 - 5 years proven experience as an AI Automation Specialist, AI Security Engineer, or similar role.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RAG solutions, including experience with vector databases (Chroma, Pinecone, or Weaviate).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with MLOps best practices, CI/CD, and model monitoring.
• Experience integrating automation with security tools (Rapid7, SecPod, Sophos), ticketing systems (JIRA, ServiceNow), and business intelligence platforms (Power BI) via APIs.
• Strong understanding of security principles, data protection measures for sensitive information, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Salary
N500,000 monthly.
