Job Title: Business Development Executive

Reports to: Head of Business
Main Function
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a key role in supporting the Alternative Finance Department to drive sales, acquire clients, and implement innovative financial products.
This position focuses on executing business development activities, identifying leads, building strong relationships, and supporting the delivery of Shariah-compliant and alternative finance solutions.
Working closely with the Head of Business, the BDE will contribute to achieving revenue and growth targets while gaining hands-on experience in financial sales, deal structuring, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Lead Generation:
Identify potential clients, markets, and industry opportunities.
Research trends in alternative and Shariah-compliant finance.
Generate leads and maintain a pipeline for follow-up by the Business Development Manager (BDM).
Sales & Revenue Support:
Assist in executing sales strategies to meet departmental targets.
Engage in pitching, follow-ups, and closing smaller deals under supervision.
Track and report on sales activities, leads, and outcomes.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients.
Provide timely client support and escalate complex requests to the BDM.
Assist in client onboarding and documentation processes.
Product Support & Development:
Contribute ideas for developing alternative and Shariah-compliant products.
Support product marketing efforts in collaboration with internal teams.
Gather client feedback and relay insights to improve offerings.
Deal Structuring & Documentation:
Prepare proposals, presentations, and basic financial summaries for review.
Assist in drafting and maintaining contracts and documentation under guidance.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure business activities adhere to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and Shariah principles.
Maintain organized records of sales activities and submit timely progress reports.
Collaboration & Team Support:
Work closely with the BDM and other departments (Marketing, Legal, Finance).
Support departmental initiatives, campaigns, and events.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in sales, client relations, or business development (preferably in financial services).
Knowledge of alternative finance and Shariah-compliant products is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong interest in financial services and business development.
Good analytical and research skills.
Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to build client relationships and work towards sales targets.
High level of initiative, integrity, and adaptability.
