Job Summary
The Offshore Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities on offshore sites such as oil platforms, wind farms, or subsea installations.
This role ensures that operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.

Operations:
Support the Maintenance Supervisor, to ensure a close coordinated and progressive follow-up of the day-to-day site maintenance tasks/activities.
Take charge of and ensure the accuracy of detailed technical elements of the preparation of maintenance work scope, review procedures and ensure adaptability, review functional Locations and related Work Order lists to ensure that all outstanding works in the concerned package/system are fully considered during the preparation of each intervention.
Review and ensure that PTW’s are properly prepared, validated and ready ahead of schedule.
Sets up and implement technical procedures, follow-up and update maintenance procedure in relation with COMPANY representatives (i.e. Maintenance Supervisor) and onshore base support.
Anticipate, track and follow up the main issues on all packages and make sure that these are well captured in the planning and in SAP with resource availability (personnel, spare parts).
Keep a comprehensive tracking of all critical material/spare parts and highlight to Maintenance Supervisor and onshore/base team to expedite their procurement and availability on site.
Provide inputs and Participates in the definition of maintenance Look ahead planning with the feedback to discipline/trades supervisors.
Review the technical reports from trades supervisors and ensure proper documentation. Maintain (log register file).
Check if the Notifications / Work Orders are well prepared. Flag concerns if any and ensure that required materials / spare parts / special tools, are well identified on the work order.
Anticipates, plans and requests the logistical means necessary for smooth maintenance operations, taking the various constraints into account when planning and carrying out operations.
Provide Support and guidance to trade supervisor for adequate troubleshooting of failed equipment. Assist trade supervisor to prepare specific activities (PTW, Procedure, Material, specific tools…)
Provide input and oversight on defective spare parts and report.
Attend all daily, weekly and specific meetings on relating to maintenance issues onsite, as may be advised or delegated to him by Maintenance Supervisor.
Ensure timely issuance of regular multi trades discipline reports to Maintenance Supervisor / Project Manager / Deputy Project Manager.
Shall ensure daily follow-up and analysis on SAP to track and follow-up processing of workorders to proper closure, with a focus in maintaining zero backlog. He shall ensure that all SAP report and Time Writing (Core Crew + Adhoc) are properly and timely done.
Shall provide Coordination and support for OEM / Vendor FSRs on site during specific interventions.
Provide guidance and coordination support for Works preparation and execution, in close liaison with onshore maintenance support (Planners, Engineers…).
Method:
Act as the Focal Point for GMS contractor personnel on site and liaise with GMS Management to handle all concerned personnel and contractual issues for all categories of Contractor personnel.
Assist site management to manage personnel concerns whenever required, and as necessary to sort out technical, organizational and competency related issues.
Participate in personnel and organizational meetings with Company and make recommendations to both Company and GMS Project Manager on personnel movements, replacements and close out turn-over situations arising on site.
Be the link to strengthen the coordination between Adhoc, 3rd Parties and Site team, ensuring full and strong involvement of the Smart room Scheduler in the daily maintenance subjects, especially with respect to Core Crew Support (daily Notifications follow-up and assignment, WO’s preparation, Planning / Scheduling, Reporting, Closing when due, Backlog clearing, etc.…)
Purpose
He is the Contractor focal point for technical coordination all GMS CONTRACTOR activities on site and reporting to the Head of Maintenance.
He assists the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the organization and quality planning of site Maintenance works and supports, including campaign and Vendor/OEM FSR interventions.
He is the QHSE management representative for CONTRACTOR’s activities. He guarantees that the HSE rules and operating procedures in force in COMPANY are respected, as well as the regulations in force in CONTRACTOR’s QA/QC handbook.
He ensures that maintenance operations under his responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with the COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his field, carried out on site by the CONTRACTOR.
He guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment he is responsible for on production sites.
Ensures the correct behaviour of his teams in accordance with the general safety regulations of the subsidiary and, if need be, takes the necessary corrective measures
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities offshore.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Lead multi-skilled crews including welders, fitters, riggers, and crane operators.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Conduct and audit Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other safety processes.· Monitor progress and report on project status to senior management.· Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during construction. · Ensure proper documentation and adherence to quality standards.· Coordinate logistics for materials and equipment delivery to the site.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years' experience in field of Maintenance on offshore oil and gas installations, with experience in electrical / instrument / mechanical discipline.
Chartered Engineer with BSc (A-Levels + 5 years study) or Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND / HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or equivalent in in Mechanical, Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
Computer and Software Literacy: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint competency), SAP…
