Role Overview

• As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering renewable energy projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee procurement and regulatory compliance, and engage stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects that support Nigeria’s clean energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, from initiation to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines while ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor management, and supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
• Oversee site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards as well as local regulatory frameworks.
• Supervise project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure high-quality work delivery.
• Monitor project performance using KPIs, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.
• Verify installations and identify project variations to ensure compliance with specifications and minimize potential delays or cost overruns.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, development partners, and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field (master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum of 3–7 years of proven project management experience, with at least 3 years in the renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sector.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification required.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, hybrid systems, or other renewable energy technologies.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, Asana, Trello) and MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multi-stakeholder projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Good safety and compliance track record with knowledge of HSE standards.
