Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Job Description
A Senior Accountant to be a key player and partner for our growing team.
A professional with excellent technical aptitude, high analytical skills, with thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports.
You will have the opportunity to engage with executives to leverage excellent presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Payroll management and processing, including monthly payroll journal entries.
Assist in annual 401k audit
Support Accounts Payable on a part-time basis, including processing vendor payments, managing company expense reporting and reconciliation, including processing in Expensify, credit card reconciliations, and cross-functional communication to ensure accurate and timely submissions
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Maintains the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Summarizes financial status by collecting information to assist in preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
Complete month-end reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
Execute year-end accounting close activities.
Assist in financial external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for audits.
Identify and drive revenue initiatives.
Drive strategy to advance the team and organization.
Assess and recommend updates to the ERP system to improve the accuracy of transaction processing.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting
4+ years of experience in accounting
Leadership experience preferred
Healthcare industry experience preferred
SAAS experience preferred
Professional written and verbal communication and presentation skills required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, especially with regard to pivot tables, xlookup logic, SUMIFS, If Statements, Text to Columns, etc...
Strong account reconciliation skills
Strong data analysis skills
CPA is required.
