As a Pick Up and Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our company, responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods from our warehouse or store to our customers.
Your primary goal is to ensure that all items are picked up, handled, and delivered efficiently while providing a positive and professional customer experience.
Safely load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a timely manner.
Perform scheduled pick-ups of items from clients, suppliers, or other locations.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for daily deliveries and pick-ups.
Verify the accuracy of orders against delivery manifests during pick-up and drop-off.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery for all completed drop-offs.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues or complaints on-site.
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding schedule changes or delivery issues.
Vehicle & Inventory Management:
Conduct daily inspections of the company vehicle (e.g., check oil, fuel, tires) and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and presentable appearance.
Ensure all items are securely stored and handled to prevent damage during transit.
Assist in managing inventory and reporting any discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Complete and submit daily logs, mileage reports, and other required documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
Clean driving record with a minimum of [e.g., 2] years of driving experience.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong sense of direction and familiarity with the local area.
Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic proficiency with smartphone apps for navigation and delivery tracking.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or similar role.
Experience with hand trucks, dollies, and other delivery equipment.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
