Job Brief

• We are seeking a dedetail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to assist with financial tasks accurately and efficiently.
• This role requires organizational skills, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank statements.
• Prepare and verify financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
• Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and documentation.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, and other financial accounts.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and budget tracking.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• OND / HND / AAT in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• Proven 1-2+ years experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Working in a school is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
• Must reside in within Ejigbo or in very close proximity.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 monthly.
