Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the company’s growth and market expansion initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • This role requires a proactive individual who can combine analytical thinking with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, while consistently reflecting the company’s core values of urgency, reliability, and trust in every engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth and expand market presence.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans that align with the company’s objectives and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term collaboration.
  • Ideal candidate must be able to conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and untapped markets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business presentations, proposals, and bids that effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—such as operations, finance, and marketing—to ensure seamless execution of client projects and service delivery.
  • Negotiate and close business deals while ensuring profitability and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report on business development performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand visibility and professional networks.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or in a similar growth-focused role, preferably within a service-oriented or technology-driven industry.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM and business management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or equivalents).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop effective strategies to capture them.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical capability to assess market trends, competition, and business performance.
  • Proven ability to develop persuasive proposals and close high-value deals.
  • Strong networking skills with the confidence to represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple business initiatives simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the capacity to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 Monthly.
