Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our client acquisition and strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the intersection of real estate, finance, and digital platforms.
You will be responsible for driving AUM (Assets Under Management) growth, expanding our client base, and ensuring all activities adhere to stringent statutory and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Growth Strategies: Formulate and implement comprehensive business development strategies to acquire new high-net-worth individuals, institutional clients, and corporate investors for our digital investment platforms and REIT products.
Drive Customer Acquisition: Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and initial engagement to negotiation and closing, consistently exceeding quarterly and annual targets for assets raised.
Master Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all business development activities, marketing materials, and client onboarding processes strictly comply with the statutory and regulatory requirements governing digital investments and securities (e.g., SEC, other relevant bodies).
Capital Raising & Deal Structuring: Identify and secure capital for new and existing investment vehicles, including REITs and other digital funds. Collaborate with the investment team on product structuring to meet market demand.
Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in the real estate, banking, stock brokerage, and financial advisory sectors to create a robust pipeline of referral business.
Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential threats within the digital investment, real estate, and financial services sectors.
Represent the Brand: Act as a key representative of the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
Client Portfolio Management: Develop and manage a portfolio of key client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with Marketing, Compliance, and Investment Operations teams to align business development efforts with company capabilities, marketing campaigns, and regulatory updates.
Mentor Junior Staff: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the business development team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) will be a distinct advantage.
Professional Certification: Professional certifications such as CFA, CISI, CA, or other recognized qualifications in finance, investment, or securities.
Core Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, with a demonstrable track record in:
REITs and real estate investment.
Customer Acquisition and capital raising.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance specific to digital investments and securities.
Industry Background: Must have hands-on experience in at least three of the following sectors: Real Estate, Banking & Financial Services, Investment & Capital Raising, and the Stock Brokerage industry.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of digital investment platforms, financial modeling, and the regulatory landscape for securities and digital assets.
Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and persuasively.
Proven Track Record: Evidence of consistently meeting and exceeding ambitious sales and asset-raising targets in a competitive environment.
