Reader (Agricultural Extension and Rural Development) at Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB)

The Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB) was established by an Executive Act of the Federal Government in April, 2023. It is a specialized University located in Bassambiri in the Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. It was created by the Federal Government as part of its mandate to have a University of Agriculture in each of the six geo-political zones of the country. FUAB links teaching and research to the Niger Delta’s rich agricultural and marine resources. Academic activities commence in the 2025/2026 session with a student-centred, hands-on learning model aligned to NUC standards.

Requirements

• Ph.D. Degree in the appropriate discipline, with nine (9) years of unbroken teaching and research experience in a University system or cognate exposure with demonstrable evidence of scholarly achievement and Twenty-one (21) scholarly publications.
• Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.
