Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Palm Groove, Lagos

Role Overview
The HR Officer is an essential member of the Human Resources team, responsible for executing day-to-day HR administrative functions and supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance.
This role requires an individual with excellent organizational skills and 1-2 years of proven experience who is capable of handling sensitive, confidential information with professionalism.
Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles, including drafting and posting job advertisements on various platforms.
Screen resumes, shortlist candidates, and coordinates the interview scheduling process with hiring managers.
Conduct initial phone screenings and administer candidate testing as required.
Prepare all new hire documentation, including offer letters and employment contracts.
HR Administration & Compliance:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, documentation, and files, both physical and within the HR Information System (HRIS).
Assist in Managing and tracking employee attendance, leave requests, and timekeeping records.
Ensure all HR operations and documentation complies with current local labor laws and company policies.
Support audits by ensuring HR files and records are up to date.
Assist in policy drafting, updates, and communication to staff.
Manage probation period follow-up and confirmatory letters for new employees.
Ensure timely communication of HR memos, circulars, and policy updates.
Employee Relations & Development:
Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing accurate guidance on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Assist in coordinating and tracking all employee training and development programs, including mandatory internal and external training sessions.
Support the performance management process by tracking performance reviews, goals, and managing the probationary period system.
Help promote a positive workplace culture through HR initiatives and staff engagement activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Administrative Accuracy: 99% accuracy in maintaining employee records and data input into the Database.
Recruitment Efficiency: Time-to-fill for support all roles meets the target of 30days
Compliance: Timeliness in preparing contractual and compliance-related documentation.
Employee Support: High satisfaction rating (e.g., 85 %+) from employees on responsiveness to HR inquiries.
Onboarding Effectiveness: New hire onboarding completed within 7 working days, with positive feedback from at least 80% of new employees.
Payroll Data Accuracy: Zero payroll errors arising from HR data input.
Training Participation: At least 90% employee attendance in mandatory training programs.
Performance Management Tracking: 100% completion rate of probation reviews and annual performance appraisals on time.
Employee Turnover Tracking: Monthly reports on staff exist with reasons analyzed and shared with management.
Policy Communication: 100% of HR policy updates communicated to employees within 5 working days of approval.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 - 2 years of progressive experience in an HR Assistant, Coordinator, or Officer role.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Knowledge: Foundational working knowledge of core HR policies, practices, and local employment law.
Certification: Should have CIPM, ACIPM or must have started the Process
