We are seeking to hire, an NGO Administrator to support program delivery, funding administration and local partnerships across Ekiti State.
This is a hands-on role for someone familiar with agricultural program operations, donor reporting and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day administrative and operational activities for agricultural programs in Ekiti.
Oversee logistics for field activities, training sessions and demonstrations, ensuring timely procurement and proper stock control of inputs and materials.
Coordinate scheduling, travel and accommodation for project staff and visiting partners.
Maintain up-to-date program documentation, attendance registers, and participant databases.
Prepare accurate financial records for petty cash, local payments and expense claims; support the finance team with reconciliations and basic bookkeeping.
Lead local stakeholder engagement: build relationships with community leaders, farmer cooperatives, input suppliers and local government extension officers.
Support grant management by collating programme evidence, impact data and draft inputs for donor reports, project proposals and budgets.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies, and support M&E by collecting, validating and submitting program data.
Supervise local support staff, vendors and consultants; ensure safe and ethical conduct in all field operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Program delivery: percentage of planned field activities delivered on schedule.
Financial accuracy: monthly reconciliation completed with <2% variance.
Procurement & logistics: order fulfillment lead time and stock-out incidents.
Reporting: timely submission of donor report inputs and quality score (completeness/accuracy).
Stakeholder relations: number of active community partnerships and partner satisfaction feedback.
Staff supervision: local team retention and performance improvement metrics.
M&E data quality: percent of valid records submitted on time.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, Project Management or related field.
At least 3–5 years’ experience in administrative or program support roles within agricultural NGOs or donor-funded projects.
Demonstrable experience handling donor reporting, basic financial record keeping and procurement for field programs.
Strong knowledge of farmer engagement approaches, agro-input supply chains and community mobilization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in a local language spoken in Ekiti (Yoruba) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with simple M&E tools or data collection apps (e.g., Kobo Toolbox) is preferred.
Proven ability to travel frequently across rural sites, work flexible hours during field activities and manage multiple tasks.
High integrity, attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
