Job Summary
We are seeking Heads of Revenue Growth—highly accomplished sales leaders responsible for driving revenue expansion, strengthening market presence, and cultivating long-term client partnerships within the marketing, media, and advertising landscape.
The ideal candidates will bring strategic leadership, self-drive, and an entrepreneurial mindset, along with a proven track record of combining sales leadership with marketing innovation to deliver measurable business impact.
The Head of Revenue Growth will report directly to the Director of Sales and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, selling our digital marketing services portfolio, and defining strategies to expand company revenue. You will lead and guide the creation of customized, innovative solutions to meet clients’ specific goals and needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy:
Identify and capitalize on high-value business opportunities while developing strategic approaches to pitch innovative media and digital solutions.
Develop tailored proposals using data-driven insights to align offerings with client objectives.
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan.
Achieve monthly sales gross profit targets.
Analyze prospective clients’ digital footprints to develop digital and content strategies for their businesses.
Conduct pitches and presentations to persuade potential customers that Pulse is the preferred partner to meet their corporate goals.
Client Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain senior-level client relationships to build long-term partnerships.
Maintain continuous engagement with clients, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Drive relationships with decision-makers at tier-one companies across Nigeria.
Collaborate with the Account Management team to ensure services sold are delivered effectively to maximize client retention.
Sales Execution & Revenue Growth:
Follow a structured sales process to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Pitch and close deals for customized digital and media solutions that meet client business goals.
Collaboration & Project Delivery;
Work closely with internal project and account management teams to ensure seamless execution.
Ensure smooth communication across departments, focusing on integrated account management.
Brand Competitiveness & Market Presence:
Lead initiatives to strengthen Pulse’s brand positioning within the digital and media ecosystem.
Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and best practices within Nigeria and across Africa.
Represent Pulse at industry events to network and build relationships with potential clients and partners.
Industry Awareness & Innovation
Stay ahead of digital and media industry trends, tools, and sales techniques.
Integrate marketing strategies into sales efforts to maintain a competitive edge.
Develop Pulse content campaigns and product offerings to grow revenues.
Stay informed on emerging trends and industry solutions to ensure Pulse continues innovating with effective client solutions.
Team Lead Responsibilities
Perform weekly checks of team inputs into the CRM to ensure full visibility into the sales pipeline.
Review proposals developed by team members.
Manage team learning sessions and facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing across international sales teams.
Oversee onboarding and training of new team members.
Provide guidance and support to help team members achieve their full potential.
Ensure adherence to the defined sales process at all times.
Communicate effectively with all team members and maintain strong, trusting relationships with internal collaborators.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Minimum of seven years of proven success in senior sales leadership or business development roles, ideally within Digital Media, Creative, Marketing, SaaS, or Advertising industries.
Strong expertise in digital marketing and the ability to integrate marketing strategies into sales growth.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed financial sales targets.
Proven record in developing and executing revenue growth strategies.
Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting to guide sales decisions.
Ability to analyze sales performance data and ROI to optimize outcomes.
Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and familiarity with CRM systems (Zoho CRM preferred).
Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with key clients.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
A strong portfolio of sales-led or marketing-driven projects demonstrating measurable business impact.
