Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to oversee and manage the social media presence for TechSkill UK across various platforms.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for content creation, community engagement, strategy development, performance analysis, and managing online events to enhance brand visibility, grow followership, and generate quality leads.
This role requires strong collaboration with brand managers, graphic designers, and ad specialists to ensure cohesive and impactful digital campaigns.
Plan, develop, and manage all digital content across our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) in alignment with brand messaging and marketing goals.
Write scripts, plan, edit and create both short-form and long-form video content. This includes appearing on camera for certain videos as part of our brand’s digital presence.
Create and manage all forms of content: written posts, blog articles, newsletters, captions, ad copies, and copy for design creatives.
Monitor trends and adapt content to maximize engagement and reach.
Online Community Engagement:
Manage online community interactions, including moderating pages, responding to comments and direct messages, and fostering positive audience relationships.
Drive engagement through active participation in conversations, trending topics, and relevant online events (webinars, Twitter Spaces, LinkedIn Live, Instagram Live, etc.).
Social Media Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive quarterly social media strategies tailored to our brand objectives.
Create detailed monthly content calendars to ensure consistent and strategic posting.
Socials Performance Analysis:
Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) for all social channels.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize content performance, audience growth, and lead generation.
Online Event Management:
Liaise with brand managers to plan, coordinate, and manage online events such as webinars, virtual conferences, and online workshops for the brand.
Publicize events, set up event platforms, and prepare marketing materials in collaboration with the design team.
Oversee all activities related to online events to ensure smooth execution and maximum audience engagement.
Collaboration & Brand Alignment:
Work closely with brand managers to align content with brand messaging, voice, and marketing objectives.
Collaborate with the graphic design team to ensure visuals meet branding standards and support content requirements.
Partner with ad specialists to support paid campaigns and promotions, ensuring high-quality lead generation.
Lead Generation & Growth:
Implement strategies to grow social media followers, increase engagement rates, and drive website traffic.
Utilize social platforms to generate leads and support overall marketing objectives.
Email Marketing & Newsletter Management:
Design and implement quarterly email marketing strategies to boost customer engagement and retention.
Draft, curate, and manage monthly newsletters for our brand, ensuring content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with marketing goals.
Coordinate with brand managers to ensure the accurate representation of brand messaging and timely dissemination of information.
Blog Content Management:
Write, edit, and manage long-form content such as blog posts tailored to our brand’s target audience.
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to improve blog visibility and organic traffic.
Develop content calendars and ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging for our brand,
Qualifications & Skills
2 - 3years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organisation, ideally in education, technology, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in building engaged online communities and growing audiences.
Strong content creation skills especially in video production, copywriting, and storytelling.
Experience planning and promoting webinars or online events.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in social media tools, analytics platforms, and basic design/video editing software.
Salary
N150,000 / month.
