Federal College of Education, Iwo is a public institution in Osun State, Nigeria authorized with the issuance of National Certificate in Education (NCE) to successful graduating students. The College of Education, among the 30 new higher institutions established by the Muhammadu Buhari's administration since assuming power in 2015, was established in 2020.
The Governing Council of the College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position below:
Job Title: Registrar
Location: Iwo, Osun
Job Summary
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College, as well as the Secretary to the Governing Council, the Management Committee, the Academic Board and any Committee of the Council.
Duties
The candidate for the position is expected to, among other responsibilities, keep the College records, conduct and receive all correspondences of Council and Management. He is expected to perform any other functions which the Council or Provost may so direct.
Qualifications
The candidate for the post of the Registrar must possess the followings:
A good Bachelor's degree in any of the Social Sciences or Art Subjects from any recognized institutions of higher learning;
Must possess relevant Master's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least eighteen (18) years of cognate work experience.
Posséssion of a Doctorate degree is an added advantage;
Must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS
Evidence of continuous mandatory professional development;
Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT);
Must be a member of recognized Professional body in relevant field; and
Successfil candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking up the appointment.
Other Requirements
Vision and Mission Statement:
The candidate must submit in clear terms, in not more than two (2) pages his/ her Vision and Mission statement for the College in the next 5 years.
Tenure of Appointment
The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.
Salary
Consolidated salary of the Federal Colleges of Education will be applicable.
Condition of Service
The successful candidates will be entitled to the privileges and benefits of Principal Officers as specified in the terms and conditions of service for Staff of Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria and other conditions which may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the College in accordance with the Colleges of Education Act, and in consultation with the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).
