About the Role
As a Fleet Operations & Operations Lead at RUN, you will be responsible for Experienced 3PL rider recruitment, onboarding, and fleet expansion.
You will be Skilled in lead generation, cost negotiation, and SLA implementation for effective 3PL management.
You will use Data-driven approach to optimizing rider quality, fulfillment rates, and process efficiencies.
You will use your Strong relationship-building, training, and market expansion expertise to drive revenue growth and enhance service delivery.
You are ready to roll up your sleeves, build a passionate team, and build a business at light speed while tackling the large Nigerian parcel shipping market.
You will make sure that our amazing services are available and perfectly executed to our customers conveniently and seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily running of the Fleet department.
Bringing in 3PL riders and companies to partner with the organization.
Set the targets of team members and follow-up on all team members.
Oversee the Fleet department of the company and set the targets and daily activities of the department.
Set the KPI for the team and make sure it achieved.
Develop and Execute Fleet Operations ideas to help move the company forward.
Build and lead a high-performing Fleet team from scratch, recruiting, training, and managing.
Recruiting and onboarding 3rd party logistics (3PL) riders & logistics companies.
Generating and converting 3PL riders leads, meeting and/or exceeding 3PL riders onboarding & training goals/targets.
Using data to drive improvements to fleet recruitment management and ensure high quality riders are onboarded regularly on the platform.
Ensuring 100% fulfillment rate of deliveries by 3PL riders.
Negotiating cost of delivery through 3PL rider.
Formulating & implementing SLAs and processes for effective management of 3PL providers. Regular auditing of data on deliveries and return pickups.
Managing and training 3PLs, empowering them to enhance the distribution value chain.
Monitoring, anticipating and managing the live operation to ensure a greater user experience. Preparing weekly & monthly reports, and product demonstrations as needed.
Coordinating fleet expansion efforts, finding & developing new markets.
Responding to 3PL riders’ questions and requests, following up with riders, and resolving any issues that may arise.
Leading the communication with the fleet affiliates/team and independent riders on how they can maximize their earnings while delivering quality service.
Creating and maintaining a reliable 3PL riders feedback program.
Improving services and process efficiencies.
Leveraging a unique blend of market insight, relationship-building skills, and innovative thinking to unlock new opportunities and drive revenue growth for the company and its partners.
Requirements & Skills
Candidates should possess a BA / B.Sc Degree in Social Sciences, Operations or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience recruiting & managing 3PL operations to ensure lowest-cost and on-time delivery
Experience in strategic recruitment of fleet
Ability to effectively manage employees
Natural leader with the ability to motivate and lead a team, even indirect reports
Ability to take initiative and be flexible in a constantly-changing work environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and ease with a variety of tech platforms and reporting.
Other Requirements:
3+ years of experience in Fleet Operations; recruitment, training & management, with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
