Job Title: School Assistant

Location: Ring Road, Uyo - Akwa Ibom

Role Overview

• The School Assistant will provide support to teachers and school leadership in ensuring smooth daily operations, student welfare, and effective classroom management.
• This role requires patience, clear communication skills, and hands-on experience in managing children, while maintaining a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing classrooms and learning materials for lessons.
• Support students during class, group activities, and school programs.
• Supervise and guide children during breaks, lunchtime, and extracurricular activities.
• Provide administrative support such as filing, photocopying, and record-keeping when required.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all learners.
• Assist in organizing school events, meetings, and other community engagement activities.
• Act as a role model for students by upholding the school’s values of respect, discipline, and excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of SSCE / NCE.
• Experience managing children in a school, childcare, or community setting.
• Patience and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support the school’s mission.
• Reliable, organized, and dedicated to creating a positive learning atmosphere.
