Job Title: Digital Product Engineer (UI/UX & Systems)
The Digital Product Engineer (UI/UX & Systems) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing digital products that are both visually engaging and technically sound.
The role requires a unique blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and IT systems awareness — bridging the gap between design, development, and infrastructure.
The incumbent will design user experiences, develop end-to-end software solutions, and ensure that systems and environments supporting these products operate securely and efficiently.
This position demands a professional who can think strategically about product functionality while executing tactically through clean code, strong design logic, and reliable systems management.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy responsive web applications using modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
Build and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and databases using Node.js, Python, PHP, or related technologies.
Translate UI/UX prototypes and wireframes into functional, high-quality user interfaces.
Conduct user research and testing to ensure usability, accessibility, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical and design requirements.
Manage deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure code integrity across environments.
Administer basic IT systems, including workstation setups, software configurations, and network connectivity.
Monitor cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and maintain system performance and security.
Implement data protection, backup, and recovery protocols to ensure business continuity.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, server, and infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
Maintain documentation for codebases, systems, and product design workflows.
Mentor junior developers or designers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Product usability and user satisfaction scores.
Application stability, speed, and security.
Code quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
Efficiency and timeliness in product delivery.

Quality of collaboration and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Design, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in full-stack development with demonstrable UI/UX and IT systems experience.
Proven portfolio showcasing design and development projects.
Relevant certifications in cloud computing, UI/UX, or full-stack development are an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
Proficient in at least one back-end technology such as Node.js, Django, Express, or Laravel.
Experience with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud hosting, and DevOps practices.
Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
Understanding of user-centered design principles, typography, and layout design.
Knowledge of system administration tasks including software installation, troubleshooting, and network setup.
Strong problem-solving ability and analytical mindset.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
