Job Title: Registered Nurse (School)

Location: Ejigbo, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced nurse to join our team in a group of schools in Lagos, Nigeria.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students (including boarding students), staff, and faculty, promoting health education, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic medical care and first aid to students (day and boarding), staff, and faculty
• Conduct health screenings and assessments
• Develop and implement health education programs for students and staff
• Maintain accurate medical records for all students, including boarding students
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and boarding house staff to ensure student well-being
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Monitor and respond to health concerns in the boarding houses, ensuring timely medical attention when needed
• Work closely with parents/guardians and school authorities to address student health needs
• Be available for night duty as required, providing medical care and support to boarding students

Requirements

• Valid Nursing License (RN/RMN) from a recognized regulatory body.
• A minimum of 4years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Experience in a school setting, pediatrics, or boarding school environment (an advantage)
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment and demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in basic nursing techniques and medical equipment.
• Must be smart, compassionate, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
• Availability to resume immediately is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Compassionate and able to maintain confidentiality.
