We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  • We are expanding our team and looking for a passionate, creative, and strategic Business Development Manager who will drive the brand’s growth, market expansion, and innovation agenda.
  • The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s market presence, enhancing brand identity, and leading innovation across products, outlets and marketing. This role involves a unique blend of strategic planning, creative branding, and hands-on execution — ensuring that every new project, store, or product reflects Uncle Stan’s commitment to quality and innovation.
  • This individual will be responsible for identifying and executing business growth opportunities, driving creative branding initiatives, and introducing improvements in product presentation and packaging to strengthen brand appeal and customer experience.
  • The BDM will also lead and supervise the end-to-end process of new store openings, from concept and design to construction and launch, working closely with architects, designers, and building contractors to ensure each outlet meets brand and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Expansion:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute new market opportunities, partnerships, and outlet expansion projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new store locations.
  • Oversee and coordinate store opening projects — including design reviews, contractor supervision, construction progress, and final store setup.
  • Oversee the full process of new outlet launches, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with brand standards.
  • Ensure all new outlets are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with brand and operational guidelines.

Branding, Marketing & Innovation:

  • Lead creative brand development initiatives to maintain a modern and consistent brand identity.
  • Work with the marketing team to conceptualize and implement campaigns that strengthen brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Drive innovation in product presentation, packaging, and overall customer experience to enhance visual appeal and brand perception.
  • Supervise the evolution of brand assets across touchpoints—stores, packaging, uniforms, digital presence, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for brand and product differentiation.

Product & Market Development:

  • Analyze product performance, customer preferences, and emerging trends to guide product improvement and new product launches.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure product innovation aligns with customer needs and brand standards.
  • Support pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies to improve market competitiveness.

Strategic Planning & Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, vendors, and corporate clients.
  • Prepare business reports, forecasts, and proposals for management decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver seamless project execution.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Supervise and guide business development, marketing, and expansion teams.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and delivery.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and brand excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 5–7 years experience in business development, brand management, or marketing—preferably in the QSR, FMCG, or hospitality industry.
  • Proven record of leading brand innovation, new product launches, or market expansion initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, creativity, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to think both strategically and creatively, with a strong eye for brand design and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
