Center for Community Development and Research Network (CCDRN) is a local Non-governmental organization (NGO) in Nigeria with its head office in Kaduna. CCDRN partners with communities, philanthropists, government, and donors to provide sustainable community development services in the areas of conflict resolution, peace building, economic empowerment, agriculture, health, education, and governance. With funding from humanitarian donors, programs are implemented to engage in several interventions, including but not limited to food assistance, livelihoods, cash transfers, and capacity building of humanitarian response actors.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager
The MEAL Manager will support the coordination and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities across CCDRN programs in Yobe State.
The role focuses on ensuring that MEAL systems are operational, effective, and provide timely data to support program decision-making at the state level, while aligning with the overall organizational MEAL framework.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support and Coordination:
Contribute to the implementation of the CCDRN MEAL framework in Yobe State, ensuring alignment with organizational quality standards, MEAL policies, procedures, and best practices.
Provide guidance and coordination support to program teams in Yobe, integrating MEAL systems into program design and implementation at the state level.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Assist in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans for Yobe programs, including the development of indicators, targets, and benchmarks, using a results-based management approach.
Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites across Yobe State to collect data and identify areas for improvement, employing a participatory and inclusive approach.
Analyze and interpret state-level data, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance program performance in Yobe.
Accountability:
Support the functionality and effectiveness of accountability mechanisms in Yobe, including the maintenance of a complaint response mechanism, using a participatory and inclusive approach.
Implement and manage a feedback and complaint response system at the state level, including the collection and analysis of feedback from program beneficiaries, using a feedback loop approach.
Ensure that program staff and partners in Yobe are aware of and adhere to accountability policies and procedures, through targeted training and capacity building.
Learning:
Identify and document lessons learned from Yobe programs, including successes, challenges, and areas for improvement, using a reflective and adaptive approach.
Contribute to a knowledge management system by collecting and sharing best practices and lessons learned within Yobe State, utilizing knowledge sharing platforms.
Facilitate reflection and learning sessions among program staff and partners in Yobe, including organizing workshops and training, using a collaborative and participatory approach.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular reports on Yobe MEAL activities to the MEAL Director, State Program Manager, and relevant stakeholders, including monitoring, evaluation, and accountability reports, using a clear and concise reporting style.
Ensure that state-level reports are accurate, timely, and informative, providing actionable recommendations for program improvement in Yobe, using a results-based management approach.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor the MEAL team in Yobe, building their capacity to effectively carry out MEAL activities.
Provide technical assistance and capacity strengthening to program staff and partners in Yobe to improve program quality and impact at the state level.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Director or program management team, including supporting other program components and initiatives in Yobe, using a flexible and adaptive approach.
Collaborate with state-level program stakeholders to ensure MEAL systems are aligned with program goals and objectives in Yobe, using a collaborative and participatory approach.
