We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Purpose

• Responsible for corporate security practices to effectively deal with uncertainty and associated risk and opportunity, enhancing the unit’s capacity to build value for the business.
• Play a pivotal role in safeguarding the assets and personnel of the organization.

Role Accountabilities

• Conduct regular security vulnerability assessments
• Implement and enforce corporate security policies, SOPs, contingency plans, and risk assessments
• Coordinate joint security operations with internal and external stakeholders
• Liaise with government security agencies on compliance matters
• Lead investigations into security incidents, loss prevention, and background checks for contract/ad-hoc staff
• Monitor and analyze security, political, and socio-economic trends affecting operations
• Provide daily security updates, reports, and recommendations to CSO
• Act as focal point for security decision-making during routine and emergency situations
• Lead major incident response and participate as Incident Manager
• Deliver security training to staff, guards, drivers, and other security roles
• Provide inductions for new staff and briefings during security context changes
• Organize monthly staff security awareness sessions
• Promote and strengthen a culture of security and safety
• Ensure physical security systems are functional and fit for purpose
• Assist in preparing and managing the security departmental budget
• Monitor budget performance and prepare business cases for major expenditures
• Prepare reports, meeting agendas, and minutes with follow-up actions
• Maintain accurate records of investigations and incidents
• Recommend improvements to enhance risk mitigation
• Ensure safe work practices and hazard management for self and team
• Train and equip security staff to work safely
• Report and investigate workplace incidents and injuries promptly

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in humanities (preferably Psychology) or Security related discipline.
• Relevant Professional security certification
• Minimum of ten (5) years relevant experience.
• Previous military/paramilitary/policing is added advantage.
