Job Title: Project Coordinator

About The Job
The project coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the entire project implementation from the beginning to the end of the project.
The coordinator will be responsible for supervising the child protection, WASH, nutrition and Food security and livelihood component of the project and he/she is expected to consolidate report at the end of the month.
The Project Coordinator will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, providing direct supervision to field teams and ensuring seamless collaboration among all team members.
This includes developing work plans, tracking progress, compiling reports, and responding proactively to challenges that may arise during implementation.
In addition to internal coordination, the Coordinator will play a key role in fostering partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, community leaders, and partner organizations.
Through effective engagement and communication, the Coordinator will ensure the timely delivery of services and promote sustainability and impact in the communities served by the project.
Main Responsibilities
The project coordinator will be responsible for the following, including those not listed but are extensions of those expressly stated:
Project Management:
Supervise project implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activities (for example, monitoring against individual performance management work plans).
With support from the officers, develop monthly and quarterly plans and costed plans, contributing towards an overall thematic program plan.
Submit detailed weekly and monthly activity reports to the Program Manager
Consistently maintain referral pathways of project locations.
With support from the MEAL Officer put in place accountability activities for the project, ensuring that feedback from children and their families are considered in project design.
Supervise project implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activities (for example, monitoring against individual performance management work plans).
Stakeholder Engagement and Representation:
Maintain and establish a strong collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies (e.g., SMoH, SPHCDA, MoWA), community leaders, partner organizations, and donor representatives.
Represent EYN at coordination meetings, including Nutrition, CP, FSL and WASH.
Ensure effective community engagement and ownership of project interventions.
Staff Supervision and Capacity Building:
Provide supervision, mentorship, and capacity building for project staff and community volunteers.
Facilitate regular team meetings to review progress, share lessons, and strengthen teamwork.
Financial and Administrative Management:
Support the Program Manager and Finance team in ensuring effective utilization of approved budget
Participate in budget planning, expenditure tracking, procurement planning and activity-based financial reviews.
Support the finance Team in the review and submission of finance reports
Facilitate the development of periodic budget and activity forecast.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Human Rights, or any related field.
Relevant certification or training in child protection, inclusion, or child rights.
Proven experience (at least 3 years) in project coordination and management.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with children, families, and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in monitoring and evaluation.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management and reporting tools.
