Job Title: Account Manager

About The Role
The Account Manager is the steward of Turaco’s partnerships in Nigeria, responsible for nurturing relationships, driving growth within existing accounts, and ensuring every partner experiences exceptional value from our collaboration.
This role is for someone who thrives on building trust, solving problems, and creating win-win outcomes.
You will confidently sit across from a bank CEO to present performance insights and, the next day, train field officers in a rural branch with empathy and clarity.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
Partner Relationship Management:
Build deep, trusted relationships with partners at all levels, from senior executives to branch and field staff.
Serve as the primary liaison between Turaco and partners, ensuring smooth communication, transparency, and consistent engagement.
Conduct regular check-ins, field visits, and partnership performance reviews to strengthen collaboration and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
Understand each partner’s business model, customer base, and priorities, using insights to co-create solutions that drive value.
Coordinate and execute successful partnership launches and ongoing product rollouts, ensuring alignment in cross-functional teams
Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing partnerships through product optimization, cross-sell, and upsell initiatives.
Address and escalate partner challenges swiftly while ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with internal teams.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure day-to-day operations with partners run seamlessly, from onboarding and reporting to invoicing and payments.
Track and share monthly partner performance dashboards, including sign-ups, claims payments, and retention rates.
Work closely with the Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations teams to improve partner journeys and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate account/partner documentation, SLAs, and communication records for effective account governance.
Monitor service levels and ensure timely resolution of operational or claim-related issues impacting partners.
Market Intelligence and Collaboration:
Keep the commercial division informed of competitor activity, emerging trends, and new opportunities within Nigeria’s financial inclusion and insurance sectors.
Build strong working relationships with underwriters and local ecosystem players to support partnership delivery.
Collaborate closely with Turaco’s country and Service Center teams to align Nigeria’s activities with the broader commercial strategy.
Represent Turaco at relevant partner meetings, stakeholder forums, and industry events.
Knowledge, Skills, And Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience managing long-term B2B relationships, ideally in insurance, banking, fintech, or financial inclusion.
Proven track record of growing existing partnerships and improving partner satisfaction.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage C-suite executives and frontline teams alike.
Strong analytical and presentation ability, comfortable with data-driven storytelling.
Highly collaborative, empathetic, and comfortable working across diverse teams and market environments.
