Job Title: Inventory Supervisor

Job Summary
The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory operations across Mshel Construction's various project sites.
This role includes supervising inventory and store office officers at each site, ensuring the accurate tracking, storage, and distribution of materials.
The Inventory Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Procurement and Finance departments to ensure the timely availability of materials and the financial accuracy of inventory records, supporting the success of all ongoing and upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management Across Project Sites:
Supervise and manage the inventory operations at multiple project sites, ensuring that each site maintains proper stock levels, storage, and distribution of materials.
Oversee the monitoring of inventory movements between project sites and the main warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in material transfers.
Ensure that inventory records are consistently updated across all project sites, utilizing inventory management systems and software.
Supervision of Inventory/Store Office Officers:
Lead and supervise inventory/store office officers at each project site, ensuring that they follow standard operating procedures for inventory control, material handling, and record-keeping.
Provide guidance and training to inventory officers, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor inventory processes, resolve any operational challenges, and ensure that materials are stored and handled correctly.
Collaboration with Procurement and Finance:
Work closely with the Procurement team to forecast material requirements across all project sites and ensure timely procurement of materials.
Collaborate with the Finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory, including stock valuation and cost tracking.
Assist Procurement in managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring the smooth ordering and delivery of materials to multiple sites.
Logistics and Distribution:
Oversee the distribution of materials from the warehouse to various project sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Coordinate transportation logistics to ensure that materials are delivered efficiently and stored properly at each site.
Work with project managers and site supervisors to ensure that materials are available as needed and according to project schedules.
Quality Control and Safety:
Monitor the quality of materials being received at each project site, ensuring they meet company standards and project specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations regarding the handling, storage, and transportation of materials, particularly hazardous materials.
Implement and monitor safety protocols at all project sites to minimize accidents and material loss.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory across all project sites, tracking material movements, stock levels, and usage.
Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to the Procurement and Finance departments, highlighting stock levels, shortages, and material usage trends.
Identify discrepancies between physical and recorded stock, investigating and resolving any issues promptly.
Team Management and Training:
Manage and mentor the inventory/store office officers across all project sites, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Provide ongoing training and development for the inventory team to improve their skills and ensure consistency in inventory management practices across all sites.
Evaluate the performance of inventory officers and provide feedback to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in inventory management, with a focus on overseeing multiple project sites or locations.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software (e.g., SAP, or similar tools).
Proven experience in supervising teams and managing inventory at large construction sites or across multiple locations.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with construction materials and project site inventory management.
Familiarity with financial tracking and cost management in inventory operations.
Experience in logistics and transportation coordination.
