Your Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our team as a full-time contractor, based in either Lagos or Abuja, Nigeria.
The role is field-based with extensive regional travel(up to 80%). Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the RSM will be responsible for driving sales, managing existing customer relationships, and expanding our presence across Central and West Africa.
As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will play a key role in ensuring high retention rates while identifying and developing new business opportunities to grow EBSCO’s regional footprint.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, a strong track record in customer-facing roles, and a commitment of at least forty hours, over five days per week
What You'll Do
Drive new business and achieve defined sales targets across the Central and West African region.
Conduct regular customer visits (average of 265 per year) and maintain excellent relationships.
Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to expand EBSCO’s market reach.
Manage renewals and support contract negotiations with customers and agents.
Deliver compelling product presentations at client meetings and industry events.
Provide timely and accurate reports using EBSCO’s CRM and other systems..
Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Represent EBSCO at regional and national conferences and exhibitions.
About You
Essential:
Several years of proven success in sales, preferably within the information services, publishing, education, or technology sectors.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn product portfolios quickly.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely.
Proficiency in data entry and CRM systems.
Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across the assigned region.
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required for conferences or client meetings.
Driving license and car
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
Previous experience with library or information services is advantageous.
