Job Title: Geologist

Location: Nasarawa Udege, Nasarawa

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Geologist to join our mining team in Nasarawa. The individual will be responsible for studying the composition, structure, and history of the earth’s crust to provide geological data that supports exploration, construction, and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological fieldwork, site inspections, and sample collection.
• Analyze rocks, soil, and mineral samples to determine their composition and properties.
• Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, and reports based on field data.
• Assess ground conditions for mining, construction, or drilling projects.
• Use geological software and tools for data interpretation and modeling.
• Monitor environmental conditions and support sustainability initiatives.
• Provide technical advice and support to project teams and management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during field operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage) with 3-7 years experience.
• Proven experience in geological fieldwork or exploration.
• Proficiency in geological mapping and data analysis software (e.g., ArcGIS, RockWorks, Surfer).
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and practical field experience.

Salary
N200,000 / Month.
