Job Title: Finance Officer / Accountant
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Preparing the estimated budget, following up on its implementation, and submitting reports thereon.
Implementing regulations, procedures, systems, and policies. ✓ Responsibility for office accounts.
Producing financial reports.
Budget monitoring.
Responsibility for Maintain accounting books and records in accordance with international accounting standards.
Prepare the required financial statements and reports, monitor all accounting and financial activities, and submit reports.
Responsible for implementing financial control systems and effectively monitoring their operations to protect the organization's assets.
Participate in purchasing committees.
Prepare the estimated budget in coordination with the director and office officials.
Ensure the implementation of approved financial policies and procedures.
Follow up on the implementation of the annual plan and estimated budget and verify their implementation within the specified deadlines.
Sound and accurate implementation of financial and accounting transactions in accordance with international accounting standards.
Provide information through financial reports to users of these reports, enabling them to make decisions.
Issue periodic financial reports on the financial position, business results, and cash flows of the field office.
Protect the office's assets and investments through financial oversight and internal control.
Implementation of regulations, procedures, systems, and policies.Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Strategic Thinking
Fully conversant with the accounting treatments of financial statement items
Full experience in preparing the annual budget and detailed budgets for programs and activities.
Languages (Arabic, English)
Interpersonal Skills
Skills in using Microsoft Office applications
Experience in the financial sector with various roles and financial analysis
Broad understanding of financial trends in general
Experienced in Budgets Preparation
Experienced in Preparing Annual Inventory Controls and Reconciliations
Closing Fiscal Years and Reconciling Total and Detailed Balances
Experience in ERP Accounting Software and Systems
Strong Interpersonal, Communication, and Presentation Skills
Able to Manage, Direct, and Lead Staff to Ensure the Use of Proper Financial Processes
Strong Understanding of Financial Statistics and Accounting Principles
Working Knowledge of All Legal Legislation and Regulations Assume Responsibility and Complete Tasks Efficiently and Effectively
Ability to Analyse Data and Provide Proposed Solutions to Increase;
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
ACCA-CFA-CMA| Professional Certifications
At least 6 years of experience in an accounting position
Abilities Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial and Project management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
Proven experience in Financial Management and Processes.
