Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Description
We are looking for a competent and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our construction firm.
The ideal candidate who should be within 30- 45 years would be responsible for managing all costs related to construction and civil engineering projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
Ensuring value for money, cost efficiency, and project profitability.
You will play a key role in minimizing project costs while maintaining the required standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost plans and cash flow forecasts.
Manage contract administration, including tendering, bid evaluation, and negotiation with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Perform cost control and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate and process variations, progress claims, and interim payments.
Monitor project progress and prepare regular cost reports and financial statements.
Support project teams in budget preparation, procurement planning, and cost risk management.
Ensure compliance with construction contracts, company policies, and industry regulations.
Prepare and agree final accounts at project completion.
Qualifications and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional certification or membership with NIQS, RICS, or equivalent is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT), and procurement processes.
Solid Knowledge of Project Management is required.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost management software (e.g., CostX, QS CAD).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor.
