Job Summary
The Project Scheduler & Junior Project Manager will assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering and procurement projects from start to completion.
The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of electrical engineering systems and quantity surveying principles to effectively manage project timelines, resources, and cost estimates.
This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required technical standards.
Develop, maintain, and track detailed project schedules using MS Project or Primavera.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to collect data for accurate scheduling.
Identify project milestones, dependencies, and potential risks to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare progress reports highlighting schedule updates, risks, and variances.
Assist with forecasting timelines and resource allocation needs.
Project Management Support:
Support the Project Manager in developing project execution plans and budgets.
Assist in project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting.
Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely material delivery and vendor coordination.
Follow up on project deliverables and ensure all stakeholders meet their responsibilities.
Participate in project meetings and provide relevant updates and follow-through on assigned actions.
Technical & Quantity Survey Support:
Apply electrical engineering knowledge to review project specifications, designs, and work scopes.
Support estimation and costing activities using basic quantity surveying techniques.
Validate material quantities and assist in budget preparation for upcoming projects.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure cost control and resource efficiency.
Communication & Coordinationz:
Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including reports and correspondence.
Act as a liaison between site teams, procurement, and project management.
Ensure accurate communication flow and follow-up on project timelines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management.
2–4 years of relevant experience in project scheduling, coordination, or junior project management, preferably in engineering, construction, or oil & gas.
Working knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, or related project scheduling tools.
Familiarity with project estimation, electrical works, and cost control.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
PMP or related project management certification (an advantage).
