Job Title: Business Development Team Lead

Job Summary
The Business Development Team Lead is responsible for driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence.
The role involves generating leads, managing client relationships, and supporting the sales team to achieve set targets.
The officer will also contribute to strategic planning, customer retention, and promotion of Sixthlab’s products and services in the healthcare and laboratory equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development and Client Acquisition:
Identify and research potential clients, partners, and new market opportunities.
Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain clients in both private and public sectors.
Generate qualified leads and follow up to conversion through consultative selling.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations with prospective clients.
Prepare tailored business proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
Client Relationship and Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Provide after-sales support and ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Serve as a liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales documentation.
Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence:
Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Provide feedback to management on market conditions, pricing strategies, and product performance.
Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to plan promotions, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and build networks.
Sales Performance and Reporting:
Meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
Provide accurate forecasts and contribute to planning and budgeting processes.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate terms and close sales that align with company objectives and profitability goals.
Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical business practices in all transactions.
Follow up on payments and ensure timely receipt of funds in collaboration with the Accounts team.
Qualifications
Minimum of HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration, Science, or related field.
2–4 years relevant experience in business development or sales (preferably in a medical/laboratory equipment or healthcare environment).
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Key Requirements and Skills:
Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of the medical and laboratory supply industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of professionalism, discipline, and integrity.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / Month.
