The Tax and Audit Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple tax and audit engagements to deliver high-quality financial consulting services to our clients.
This role involves overseeing compliance with tax laws and accounting standards, providing strategic financial advice, managing client relationships, and ensuring audit integrity and efficiency.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive business growth through client satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Management:
Plan, supervise, and execute audit engagements for a portfolio of clients in various industries.
Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and relevant auditing standards.
Identify and assess risks, develop audit strategies, and ensure proper internal control systems.
Manage audit teams, including assigning tasks, reviewing work papers, and providing performance feedback.
Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and prepare comprehensive audit reports.
Tax Management:
Oversee tax compliance activities including preparation and filing of corporate, individual, and indirect tax returns.
Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimize their tax position while ensuring compliance with local laws.
Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise clients on the implications of regulatory developments.
Liaise with tax authorities during audits, inquiries, and disputes.
Review and ensure accuracy of all tax computations and filings prepared by junior staff.
Client Relationship & Advisory:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring timely communication and delivery of services.
Build long-term client relationships through trust, responsiveness, and value-added insights.
Provide business and financial consulting, including performance improvement, internal control enhancement, and strategic planning support.
Support business development initiatives such as proposal preparation, networking, and presentations.
Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, mentor, and train junior auditors and tax associates.
Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work culture.
Support firm-wide initiatives on quality control, process improvement, and staff development.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting, auditing, and tax standards and regulations.
Prepare management reports on audit progress, client satisfaction, and business performance metrics.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the firm’s confidentiality and ethical standards.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent is required.
Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in audit and tax, preferably in a consulting or public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, local tax laws, and auditing standards.
Proven experience in managing multiple engagements and teams.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to handle client relationships effectively.
Proficiency in accounting and audit software (e.g., QuickBooks, CaseWare, or similar).
