Job Title: Finance & Account Supervisor
Location: Lagos
Job Purpose
The Finance and Accounts Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory regulations.
The role will support management in budgeting, reporting, and decision-making through timely financial analysis and effective supervision of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with organizational standards.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements, payroll accounts, and other balance sheet items.
Monitor and maintain financial data integrity within the accounting system.
Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Track budget performance and highlight variances with recommendations for corrective action.
Ensure spending aligns with approved budgets and financial policies.
Oversee processing and compliant of statutory remittances (PAYE, pension, NHF, and other statutory remittance) for outsourced and in-house staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS standards, and relevant financial regulations.
Upload and process payment requisitions for EWS and it’s subsidiaries.
Monitor cash flow to ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and maintain optimal working capital levels.
Manage petty cash and ensure prompt posting and retirement of expense vouchers.
Supervise and coach junior finance team members for improved performance.
Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress against set deliverables.
Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Any other tasks as may be assigned by a superior officer.

Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.
Compliance with statutory remittances and audit standards.
Minimal error rate in statutory and financial reconciliations.
Budget performance within approved thresholds.
Team efficiency and adherence to internal controls.
Job Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, or in view) is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within an outsourcing or service-based organization.
Technical & Soft Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and Nigerian tax laws.
Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.
Integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Work Relationships
Internal: HR, Operations, Business Units, and Senior Management.
External: Auditors, Tax Authorities, Banks, and Statutory Agencies.
