We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Go-To-Market Lead

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Your Mission

  • Launch and scale a GTM engine that acquires active business users in record time, drives revenue growth, and positions straitPay as the trusted solution for Nigerian SMEs making international payments.

What success looks like:

  • Active business users acquired in record time (metrics to be discussed during interviews).
  • Strong, measurable channel performance (content, paid, referrals, outbound, etc.).
  • Clear product-market fit and scalable conversion processes.
  • Consistent revenue and transaction volume growth month over month.

Summary

  • You’ll lead the growth strategy for a mission-driven fintech company, working directly with the founders to take straitPay from launch to scale. If you’re ready to build something meaningful and impactful in African fintech — this is the role for you.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the GTM strategy.
  • Own commercial KPIs — including acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Oversee multi-channel user acquisition efforts.
  • Lead messaging, positioning, and brand communication.
  • Build partnerships that drive distribution and brand trust.
  • Manage GTM budget and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Ops to align the roadmap with market feedback.
  • Report on performance to the leadership team and investors.

What you'll bring to the table

  • 5–7years in growth, sales, or marketing roles (bonus if in Fintech or SaaS).
  • A deep understanding of Nigerian SMEs and what moves them.
  • Proven ability to generate and convert leads in cost-effective ways.
  • Strong ownership mindset and bias for action.
  • Excellent communicator — written, visual, and verbal.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in a VC-backed startup or high-growth company.
  • Familiarity with payments, FX, or B2B financial services.
  • Existing network in the Nigerian SME ecosystem.
  • Light experience in product marketing or user onboarding flows.
