We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Drivers (Many Openings)

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Driving and Transportation:

• Safely drive staff, visitors, and goods to and from designated locations as assigned.
• Ensure punctual pickup and drop-off of staff and official guests.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with Nigerian traffic laws and organizational transport policies.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward passengers and the public.
• Plan routes efficiently to avoid delays, considering Lagos traffic conditions.

Vehicle Maintenance and Documentation:

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition (checking oil, water, tires, lights, fuel level, brakes, etc.).
• Report any mechanical faults, damage, or required repairs promptly to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
• Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, roadworthiness, license, etc.) are valid and up to date.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs.

Logistics and Administrative Support:

• Assist in collecting and delivering parcels, mail, documents, and other official materials as required.
• Support in loading and offloading goods, equipment, and supplies safely.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all transported materials and information.
• Provide assistance during field missions, airport runs, or other official activities.
• Support the Admin/Logistics team in managing vehicle scheduling and dispatching.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company transport policies.
• Ensure passenger safety by enforcing seat belt use and safe driving practices.
• Avoid the use of phones or other distractions while driving.
• Immediately report any accident, incident, or near-miss to management with full details.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Zero preventable accidents or traffic violations.
• Vehicle condition maintained in top performance.
• Timeliness and reliability in transport operations.
• Accuracy in logbook and fuel usage records.
• Compliance with transport and safety policies.
• Professional conduct and feedback from staff/passengers.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualification: OND/ SSCE / WAEC / GCE / NABTEB certificate.
• Professional Requirement: Valid Nigerian driver’s license (Class B or higher).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a professional driver with a reputable organization, company, or NGO.
• Proven familiarity with Lagos roads, traffic patterns, and alternative routes.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and preventive maintenance.
• Previous experience working with expatriates or corporate executives (advantage).

 Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent driving and navigation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High sense of responsibility, integrity, and personal hygiene.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Good record-keeping and basic administrative skills.
• Knowledge of basic car troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Punctual, trustworthy, and flexible to work long hours or weekends if required.

Working Conditions:

• Primary duty station: Lagos (within mainland and island routes).
• May be required to travel outside Lagos occasionally.
• Work hours may extend beyond regular office hours depending on assignments.
• Must be willing to comply with the organization’s safety and conduct policies at all times.

Remuneration

• Salary Range: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
