Job Description

• Our client, a reputable Courier company, is seeking to recruit an Operations Managerwith extensive experience inlast-mile delivery servicesand strong capabilities indata analysis and process optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for task below.

Job Objective

• To provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization by overseeing core business functions such as logistics, distribution, and customer service. The OM is responsible for translating the company’s vision into actionable plans, ensuring operational excellence, driving process optimization, enhancing productivity, and aligning cross-functional initiatives to deliver sustainable growth and a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans, policies, and initiatives aligned with the company's overall objectives and goals.
• Lead and manage all operational functions within the country, including supply chain management, logistics, distribution and customer service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with business objectives and priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across all areas of the business.
• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor operational performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in all operational activities.
• Develop and nurture a high-performing and engaged operational team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
• Identify opportunities for expansion, growth, and optimization within the country, and develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and gain a competitive advantage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory authorities, to support operational objectives and business success.
• Prepare and present regular reports, updates, and analyses on operational performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management and directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing operations in a complex and dynamic business environment.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute operational plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve high performance and results.
• Deep understanding of operational processes, systems, and technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to drive change, manage complexity, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all business dealings.

Salary
N250,000 - N350,000 / Month.
