The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to achieve the organization’s sales and revenue goals.
The role involves prospecting, pitching products or services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional service delivery.
The ideal candidate must be result-oriented, persuasive, and self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
Identify potential customers, generate leads, and convert prospects into active clients.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve individual and departmental targets.
Promote the company’s products and services to maximize market reach.
Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals to clients.
Negotiate terms of sale, pricing, and contract conditions with customers.
Maintain regular follow-ups to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to management for product or service improvement.
Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure quick resolution.
Maintain a high level of client satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
Monitor competitor activities and report market developments to the Sales Manager.
Recommend strategies to increase market share and competitive advantage.
Stay informed about product knowledge, industry updates, and customer preferences.
Sales Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, leads, and client interactions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review.
Track progress against targets and adjust strategies accordingly.
Ensure proper documentation of contracts, invoices, and client correspondence.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with marketing, customer service, and operations teams to support smooth client delivery.
Provide feedback from clients to relevant departments to improve product and service quality.
Participate in promotional events, exhibitions, and product demonstrations.
Support the implementation of marketing campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
Revenue Growth and Target Achievement:
Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas.
Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collection from clients.
Contribute to the company’s strategic growth through innovative sales initiatives.
Experience / Qualification
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer relationship management.
Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in retail, FMCG, hospitality, oil and gas, or service industry is an added advantage.
Certification or training in sales, negotiation, or customer service is a plus.
