Overview
The Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing and executing all marketing strategies and promotional campaigns aimed at increasing brand visibility, driving room occupancy, and boosting Food & Beverage (F&B) and event revenue for our hotel in Lekki.
This role requires a creative professional with a deep understanding of the local Lagos market and digital marketing best practices in the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing and Online Presence:
Social Media Management: Develop compelling content (photo/video/text) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to showcase hotel rooms, F&B offers, and event spaces, driving engagement and direct bookings.
Website & SEO: Manage and update the hotel website content, ensuring all promotions and package details are current. Implement basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies to improve local search rankings (e.g., "Hotels in Lekki").
Online Reputation: Monitor and manage the hotel's presence on review sites (e.g., TripAdvisor, Google Reviews) and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), actively responding to feedback to maintain a high rating.
Promotions and Campaign Management:
Campaign Execution: Plan and execute seasonal promotions, special holiday packages (e.g., Christmas, Valentine's Day), and weekend staycation deals tailored to the Lekki demographic.
F&B Marketing: Collaborate with the F&B Manager to market restaurant themes, bar promotions, and unique dining experiences to attract local, non-resident patrons.
Email Marketing: Design and deploy targeted email newsletters to past guests, corporate clients, and local event planners to drive repeat business.
Partnerships and Local Outreach:
Corporate & Events: Identify and establish strategic marketing partnerships with local businesses, corporate offices in Lekki/Victoria Island, and event organizers to secure group bookings and corporate rate agreements.
Local PR: Serve as the contact point for local media, bloggers, and influencers, organizing familiarization trips or coverage opportunities.
Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing research into local competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends to ensure the hotel remains competitive and positioned effectively.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of proven marketing experience, preferably within the hospitality, travel, or high-end retail sectors in Lagos.
Digital Skills: Proficient in social media management platforms, basic knowledge of Google Analytics, and familiarity with email marketing tools.
