Job Description
IT officer is to manage and maintain an organization’s technology infrastructure and systems.
This includes responsibilities such as planning and implementing IT systems, providing technical support, ensuring data security, and staying up to date with new technologies.
Responsibilities
Managing and maintaining an organization’s computer systems and networks
Installing and configuring software
Troubleshooting technical issues
Providing support to users
Managing and maintaining databases
Implementing security measures
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations
Planning and implementing new technology projects
Training and educating staff on the use of new systems
Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer systems and networks are essential
Good problem-solving and communication skills are required.
Managing and monitoring Azure resources: This includes creating, updating, and deleting resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts and virtual networks.
Managing Azure Active Directory: This includes creating and managing users, groups, and roles, and configuring single sign-on and multi-factor authentication.
Managing Azure security: This includes configuring Azure Security Center and Azure Information Protection and implementing security best practices.
Managing and monitoring network security: This includes implementing security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection and prevention systems to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber-attacks.
Managing and monitoring network capacity: This includes monitoring network usage, identifying and resolving capacity issues, and implementing solutions to improve network capacity.
Minimum Recruitment Standard
BSc / BA in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field.
2-3 years’ Experience with skills
Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with intentional NGOs preferred.
Proven experience in transferring knowledge into operational plan with client’s collaboration and sustainable buy-in.
Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
