Description

• A professional general manager at a restaurant is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including managing staff, ensuring high standards of customer service, and achieving financial goals.
• Key duties involve staff management (hiring, training, scheduling), inventory and budget control, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and implementing marketing strategies.
• The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Staff management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all restaurant staff to ensure a productive and motivated team.
• Financial oversight: Manage the budget, control costs, monitor sales and expenses, and analyze financial reports to improve profitability.
• Operations: Oversee day-to-day front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient service and high-quality food.
• Customer satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer service by addressing complaints, handling feedback, and maintaining a positive environment.
• Compliance: Maintain high standards for cleanliness, food quality, and adherence to all health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Inventory and supplies: Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain relationships with vendors to minimize waste and control costs.
• Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies, promotions, and manage the restaurant's online presence to attract and retain customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is often preferred.
• Proven experience in restaurant management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent understanding of financial management, inventory control, and cost management.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Salary
N400,000 - N450,000 / Month.
