Bosak Grassroot Empowerment Initiative (BGEI) is the institutional subsidiary of Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited, operating in Ekiti State and Kogi State, with a mission to support financial inclusion and grassroots development. BGEI focuses on extending financial services to underserved communities especially customers excluded from mainstream banking by fostering savings culture, creating access to credit for income-generating activities, and helping reduce vulnerability through micro-insurance.
At the heart of BGEI’s approach is the belief that financial empowerment begins at the community level. We design our programs to respond to local needs, leveraging decentralized service, strong customer engagement, and ethical practice. Our lending activities prioritize accessibility and responsibility, aiming to uplift individuals, families, and communities across Ekiti and Kogi states.
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the primary HR liaison between the Human Capital Management Unit and assigned business locations.
The role is responsible for implementing HR policies, coordinating people management activities, and ensuring smooth HR operations to support business goals and enhance staff engagement and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment processes, including shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.
Plan, organize, and coordinate the induction program for new employees to ensure a smooth integration into the organization.
Facilitate employee orientation, development, and training in line with identified needs and performance gaps.
Handle the preparation and compilation of transport stipends for Credit and Outreach Team Members.
Oversee and monitor staff attendance to work and ensure compliance with attendance policies.
Conduct and ensure comprehensive background, reference, and security checks for all new recruits prior to onboarding.
Maintain and update staff documentation and personnel records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and easily retrievable.
Coordinate batching and proper filing of all employee documents for both physical and electronic archives.
Effectively manage and coordinate staff safety, welfare, and health matters to promote employee well-being.
Carry out verification of academic and professional qualifications for all new hires.
Issue staff leave advice and maintain updated leave records for employees proceeding on leave.
Compute and process Performance Induced Pay (PIP) for Credit and Outreach Team Members in line with approved performance metrics.
Coordinate the filing and compilation of annual staff appraisal forms, ensuring timely submission and documentation.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all departments to support HR operations and resolve personnel-related matters.
Prepare and submit periodic HR reports and updates to the Head, Human Capital Management,
Perform other HR-related tasks or special assignments as may be delegated by the Head, Human Capital Management.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
Minimum of 1 – 3 years relevant Human Resources experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
Professional Human Resources certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
Must have completed NYSC.
Must be a resident of Ado-Ekiti or its environs. (Very Important)
Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling sensitive information.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
