Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

• The Warehouse Manager in Ibadan will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• The ideal candidate is a proactive and experienced leader with a proven track record of managing warehouse teams, optimizing inventory, and maintaining high safety standards.
• This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse, including receiving, sorting, storage, and dispatch of products.
• Lead, motivate, train, and manage a team of warehouse staff, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
• Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to guarantee efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Manage inventory control by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling stock records, and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and security procedures within the warehouse, protecting both employees and company assets.
• Oversee logistics for both inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with suppliers and transporters to ensure timely deliveries and distribution.
• Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and operational costs.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory software to track and report on warehouse activities.
• Conduct performance reviews for warehouse staff and identify opportunities for professional development.
• Address operational issues promptly and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in warehouse management or a similar managerial role. Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or retail industry is an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and mentor a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• A high level of integrity, dependability, and attention to detail.
