Edo State College of Education is founded on the desire to achieve educational reforms in the State, utilizing the facilities of the pre-existing campuses in Abudu, Afuze, and Igueben. It is a reflection of the intentions, expectations, goals, standards, and requirements for quality education delivery. In line with Governor Godwin Obaseki’s desire and commitment to improve the quality of Education in Edo State, this multi-campus State College of Education System with Specialization in various fields was established.

Job Title: Registrar
Location: Igueben, Edo
Responsibilities
The Registrar shall:
Interested candidates should possess a good honours Degree from a recognised university;
Must be an active member of a Professional body in Administration;
Must not be above Fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of application;
Must possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant post qualification administrative experience from any tertiary institution or supervisory bodies where he/she has served at the level of a Deputy Registrar or its equivalent for not less than two (2) years;
Must be be Computer literate.
Duties/Responsibilities
He/she be the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College.
The Registrar shall be the custodian of all records of staff and students and shall receive, organise and process all correspondence of Council and Management.
He/she shall perform any other function which the Council or Provost may direct.
The Registrar shall, in addition to the other duties conferred on him under this Act, be the Secretary to Council, Management Committee and Academic Board.
In the absence of the Registrar, the Council may appoint any senior registry officer to act as Secretary.
Tenure
A Registrar shall hold office for a single term of five years only, beginning from the effective date of the appointment, and on terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
