WIgo Spices is a manufacturing company. We have been in the spices production space for over 10 years and we are a trusted nigerian local made nigerian manufacturer of hot pepper and cameroon pepper.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Representative 

Locations: Iyana Ipaja, Agege, Ile Epo, Mushin, Mowe, Jankara, Ijaye, Ikorodu, Ikotun, Eko Market, Trade Fair Market, and Sango Market -  Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving product visibility, acquiring new customers, and increasing sales of Wigo Spices across assigned markets.
  • The ideal candidate will proactively engage buyers, vendors, and market customers through direct selling, outreach, and marketing activities, ensuring consistent growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out new customers, including direct buyers, bulk buyers, and market customers.
  • Engage in both cold outreach and face-to-face marketing at shops and marketplaces to generate new leads and customers.
  • Meet assigned weekly and monthly sales targets.
  • Focus on increasing sales through personal interactions and direct marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all Wigo Spices products to effectively explain and promote them to customers.
  • Use product knowledge to identify customer needs and provide suitable product recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
  • Follow up with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Report weekly on marketing progress, including new customer acquisitions, sales made, and feedback received.
  • Highlight successful sales tactics and recommend improvements for future campaigns.
  • Execute weekly marketing plans as directed by the Head of Marketing.
  • Ensure that all marketing and sales activities align with business goals and target customer segments.
  • Collaborate with the sales, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth transactions and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide customer feedback and market insights to improve products, services, and marketing approaches.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE / OND / NCE / HND / BSc qualification
  • At least 1 year of experience in field sales, preferably within FMCG or spice/condiment distribution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the assigned market area and customer base.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Energetic, confident, and passionate about customer engagement and sales growth.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Basic Salary: N70,000 Monthly.
  • Per Carton sold: N100.
